There’s something magical about the first sip of a perfectly chilled BC Bacchanté on a warm afternoon, crisp, semi-sweet, and beautifully balanced. Now imagine that same wine transformed into a light, refreshing cocktail that captures the feeling of golden hour in a glass.

The Bacchanté Citrus Spritz brings together the fruity sweetness of this signature white wine with zesty citrus and sparkling bubbles for a drink that’s perfect for long lunches, sunny picnics, or a relaxed evening wind-down.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 250ml BC Bacchanté (chilled)

  • 100ml tonic water or sparkling water

  • 30ml fresh orange juice

  • 15ml fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tsp honey or agave syrup (optional)

  • Ice cubes

  • Orange slices, lemon wheels, and fresh mint for garnish

Method

  1. Fill two large wine glasses with ice.

  2. Pour in the BC Bacchanté, followed by the orange juice and lemon juice.

  3. Add a touch of honey if you prefer a little extra sweetness, and stir gently to combine.

  4. Top each glass with tonic or sparkling water for that effervescent finish.

  5. Garnish with citrus slices and a sprig of mint.

Serve immediately and sip slowly as the sunlight catches those golden hues.

Why Bacchanté Works Perfectly Here

BC’s Bacchanté is a semi-sweet known for its gentle fruit-forward flavour and refreshing balance. Its notes of tropical fruit, ripe peach, and honeydew melon make it a versatile choice for cocktails, adding depth and body without overpowering the other ingredients.

In this cocktail, Bacchanté’s natural sweetness enhances the citrus while the bubbles lift the flavours, creating a perfectly balanced spritz that’s both indulgent and refreshing.

Optional Twist

Feeling adventurous? Add a splash of elderflower cordial for a floral note, or sparkling lemonade instead of tonic for a sweeter, summer-ready twist.
